Autonomous, electric vehicles and smart city initiatives are being deployed in large urban areas around the country. However, there are very few areas where these concepts are being done in smaller, less dense areas.

For issues such as non-emergency EMS and last/first mile problems, success in smaller areas will have a greater impact nationally than testing in large urban centers.

Automotive engineering graduate students and faculty at CU-ICAR will oversee the testing and work with private partners in collecting and analyzing the data.

Smart mobility projects is the sole focus of CA4I.

Both the City of Greenville and the County of Greenville are committed to finding truly innovative smart mobility solutions and stand behind the efforts of CA4I.
